The Cream Pendant is a minimalist study in soft geometry and diffused light. Featuring a clean, domed silhouette and a smooth matte exterior, the porcelain body offers a quiet, architectural presence during the day.
When illuminated, the porcelain's varied thickness creates a rhythmic, layered translucency. Light passes through the thinner walls more intensely, while the denser areas remain opaque, revealing the subtle "throwing lines" of the maker’s hand. This interplay of light and shadow emphasizes the organic character of the hand-thrown form, providing a soft ambient glow.
Each work is handmade by Meg Hübert in her Vancouver studio. Variations in the porcelain's translucency and surface tone are inherent to the process, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike.
