Yes. We operate outside the traditional retail model, offering private viewings instead. This approach reflects the gallery’s focus on exclusivity, dialogue, and meaningful encounters with art and design.

Acquiring Works

Does ADDITION ship art and design objects internationally?
Yes. We regularly coordinate shipments worldwide. Each work is carefully packed to museum standards, and international collectors benefit from duty-free import of art in many regions, including the United States.

How do I know if a work is available to acquire?
Available works are listed in our Acquire section online. For inquiries about specific pieces or artist commissions, contact us directly — we are happy to provide images, details, and placement guidance.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept wire transfers, major credit cards, and certified checks. For acquisitions through 1stDibs or other platforms, payments may also be processed via their secure systems.

Shipping & Logistics

How is artwork packaged and shipped?
All works are handled with museum-grade materials. Depending on the medium, pieces may be crated, plexi-faced, or custom boxed to ensure their safe arrival.

Do you provide shipping insurance?
Yes. Every shipment includes insurance for the full value of the work unless the client prefers to use their own coverage.

What should I know about customs or duties for international orders?
Fine art shipments to the United States are duty-free. For other regions, any applicable taxes or customs fees are the responsibility of the collector. We provide full documentation for smooth clearance.

Does ADDITION accept artworks on consignment?
We consider works for consignment on a selective basis. Each proposal is reviewed in relation to our program and collector network. Please contact us to discuss terms.

Beyond acquisitions, ADDITION offers collection advisory, placement services, and interior direction. With over two decades of experience, we collaborate with architects, designers, and collectors to shape resonant spaces.
