Eero Saarinen

$3,600.00

Executive Chair
Eero Saarinen, 1950
Produced by Knoll

Designed in 1950, the Executive Chair is Saarinen’s response to the rigid seating of mid-century modernism. Its sculpted shell and sweeping contours were developed to support the human form with softness and clarity, reducing bulk while heightening comfort. The chair’s gentle curves and tapered wooden legs give it a warm architectural presence, making it equally at home in domestic, hospitality, or gallery settings. In this configuration, the rich oxblood mohair heightens its material depth and texture, while the ebonized walnut legs ground the form with a quiet, refined weight.

Molded reinforced seat shell

ADDITION brings together resonant works by artists and designers whose practices span geographies, generations, and disciplines. Their ideas and objects sit at the meeting point of material culture, memory, and contemporary imagination.

From our home in Vancouver’s Armoury / Design District, we cultivate thoughtful encounters between creators and collectors, between space and narrative, and between the worlds we inherit and the ones we shape. Upcoming programming extends outward to Mexico City and Lima, Peru.

We acknowledge that ADDITION stands on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, whose enduring stewardship and cultural presence continue to guide the creative communities who gather here.
